Founded in 2006 in the southern suburbs of Cape Town, our church has grown from a small group of faithful believers into a vibrant, multi-generational community — expanding to reach people both in person and through a growing online ministry. Through seasons of change and growth, one thing has remained constant — God's faithfulness to His people.
Our story is not just about buildings and dates — it's about the lives transformed, the prayers answered, the families strengthened, and the community served through the love of Christ.

Key moments in the life of our church
Grace Family Church began as a small gathering of believers with a shared conviction — that the southern suburbs of Cape Town needed a church grounded in Scripture, committed to prayer, and open to all who sought to know God. Meeting in modest surroundings, these founding members planted seeds of faith that would bear fruit for generations to come.
As the congregation grew, God provided a home in Plumstead. It became more than a venue — it was a place where lives were changed, families were strengthened, and the Gospel was proclaimed.
A warm, welcoming environment took shape, where people felt at home from their very first visit and where every generation — from children to grandparents — could belong.
Over the years, the church grew not just in numbers but in depth of fellowship. Life groups formed across the southern suburbs, bringing believers together mid-week for Bible study, prayer, and mutual encouragement. Youth and children's ministries flourished, music and media outreach expanded, and a culture of service took root.
Through faithful pastoral leadership and the commitment of its members, Grace Family Church became known as a warm, welcoming, and Bible-centred community — a place where people of all ages and backgrounds could grow in faith.
True to the conviction that faith must be lived out, Grace Family Church has always looked beyond its own walls. The church has supported missionaries, served local communities in need, and partnered with organisations across Cape Town and beyond to share the love of Christ in practical, meaningful ways.
Today, Grace Family Church continues to be a vibrant, Christ-centred community. Under the leadership of our elders, the church remains committed to expository Bible teaching, heartfelt worship, active prayer ministry, and genuine fellowship. Our Sunday services, mid-week groups, youth programmes, and community outreach continue to draw people into relationship with God and with one another.
We are a church that honours its past while looking forward with hope. The same God who began this work decades ago is still at work today — and we believe the best chapters of our story are yet to be written.
